Dr. Joseph P. Winberry

Dr. Winberry received his Bachelor of Science degree from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Winberry maintains licenses to practice optometry in the Commomwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey. He is certified to diagnose and treat ocular diseases with therapeutic medications (TPA certified), as needed, for all patients.

Dr. Winberry has served as Secretary/Treasurer and Trustee of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association from 1995 to 1998. Also, Joe was the first state-wide coordinator of VISION USA, President and Secretary/treasurer of the Vision Conservation Institute and Chairman of the Communications Commitee.

Nationally, he is a member of the American Optometric Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Winberry has served as President, President-elect, Secretary-treasurer,and public relations trustee of the Central Pensylvania Optometric Society. He was honored in 1991 as the Society's Optometrist of the Year.

Dr. Winberry is also active in his community as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Harrisburg, Treasurer of the Tri-County Association for the Blind and President of the Astronomical Society of Harrisburg. Dr.Winberry is a member of the White Rose Motorcycle Club, Spring Grove, PA and rides his Triumph motorcycle on local and cross-country trips.
